Movement Prep + Pos Work

Full team to follow this out. We’re diving back into the water bags, med balls and some plyo ball throwing.

  1. Tidal Tank & Sphere
    • Hitters
      • Pulse Swings w/Sphere
      • Trunk Rotations (Washing Machine) w/Sphere
      • Swing Stops w/Pill
      • North/South Shakers w/Pill
    • Pitchers
      • Stretch Rockers w/Sphere
      • Stretch Skenes Turns w/Pill
      • Separation Throws w/Pill
      • Pulse Follow Throughs w/Sphere
  2. Medicine Ball Work (All Players – 2 Sets Ea. x 6 reps)
    • Crunch Side Tosses (With Partner working both sides)
    • Bosu Catch n’ Throws (With Partner Throwing Side Only)
    • Rocker Throws (Throwing Side Only)
    • Run n’ Gun Shoves
  3. Plyo Ball Work (Position / Catcher / Pithers Are Separated)
    • Infielders/Outfielders (2 Sets of 10 Ea.)
      • Gather Throws Natural Slot
      • Backhand Plant n’ Throws (Overhand slot, power through the throw)
      • Front Hand Set n’ Throws (Sequence the body to the target)
      • Janitor Throws (Crow Hop or Prep Step then let it rip)
    • Catchers (2 Sets of 10 Ea., Shin Guards On)
      • Knee Down Throwdown
      • Frame Work w/Ryan (Brody knows the series)
    • Pitchers (2 Sets of 8 Ea.)
      • Reverse Throws
      • Pivot Pickoffs
      • Rocker Throws
      • Elevated Catch n’ Throws (With Coach Kyle)

Hitting & Throwing

Hitters

  • Tee Work – Outside Corner Letter High
  • Front Toss – Focus Outside; Drive to Right Center Field
  • Machine – Focusing again Outside MAKE ADJUSTMENTS AND COMPETE
  • Machine 2 – Slider Machine Outside COMPETE WITH IT; DRIVE IT INTO 1B DUGOUT THEN WORK TO RF

Pitchers

  • 9-Pocket’s
  • Work Down
  • Move Fast
  • Once Fatigue Hits – Shut It Down

We have 1 more, potentially 2, practices until South Carolina. We need to be diligent in the work we do and prepare.
